Food and cosmetic-grade deodorized cocoa butter from EU-audited supply chain. Neutral flavour, Form V crystallisation, CoA per batch. Delivered across all 27 EU member states via DSV.

Deodorized cocoa butter (CAS 8002-31-1, INCI: Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter) is the pure fat fraction of the cocoa bean, obtained by hydraulic or expeller pressing of cocoa mass and subsequently deodorized by steam stripping to remove the characteristic cocoa aroma. The result is a neutral-flavoured, pale yellow fat with the same crystallisation behaviour and functional properties as natural cocoa butter — making it the preferred choice wherever cocoa aroma would be undesirable in the finished product.
FDCM supplies food and cosmetic-grade deodorized cocoa butter from EU-audited producers, available from 25 kg without framework contracts. In chocolate and confectionery, deodorized cocoa butter is used to adjust fat content, extend volume and control rheology without adding cocoa flavour — critical in milk and white chocolate, compound coatings and praline fillings. Its sharp melting point just below body temperature (29–34°C) delivers the characteristic clean melt-in-mouth sensation. In cosmetics, the same properties — emollient texture, stable at room temperature, melts on skin contact — make it a benchmark ingredient in lip care, body butters and skin formulations.
Each batch ships with a Certificate of Analysis covering FFA, moisture, peroxide value, saponification value, iodine value and melting point. TDS and SDS available on request. INCI documentation for cosmetic registration provided on request at no charge.
Food and cosmetic-grade deodorized cocoa butter (CAS 8002-31-1). Produced by steam deodorization of pressed cocoa butter, retaining full crystallisation behaviour of natural cocoa butter.

From white chocolate to luxury lip balm — deodorized cocoa butter is the neutral fat that enables precise flavour and texture control.
The neutral flavour makes deodorized cocoa butter essential in white chocolate (where no cocoa taste is desired) and in milk chocolate to boost fat content without intensifying cocoa notes. Controls viscosity during conching alongside lecithin.
Used in compound chocolate and praline fillings where cost, flavour neutrality or specific melting profiles are required. Blended with vegetable fats or used alone to tune SFC curves for enrobing and moulding applications.
INCI: Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter. Sharp melt at skin temperature, emollient skin feel, excellent oxidative stability. Standard ingredient in lip balms, lip glosses, body butters, massage bars and rich moisturisers. Compatible with all common cosmetic wax and oil systems.
Used in solid lotion bars, hair conditioner sticks, curl creams and leave-in treatments. Adds body to anhydrous formulations and improves spreadability. Works as a co-emulsifier in water-in-oil emulsions at low inclusion rates.
Cocoa butter is the classic suppository base due to its sharp body-temperature melt. Deodorized grade is preferred for odour-neutral formulations. Complies with Ph. Eur. requirements for suppository base fats — documentation on request.
Used in specialty fat blends, bakery shortenings and confectionery fat systems where specific SFC profiles, clean melt behaviour or labelling advantages of a pure cocoa ingredient are required.
Deodorized cocoa butter is a pure natural fat and is not classified as a food additive under Regulation (EC) No 1333/2008. It is a food ingredient regulated as a cocoa product under Directive 2000/36/EC. In chocolate manufacture it is used as a primary fat phase and counts toward the cocoa butter content declaration.
For cosmetic applications, the INCI name is Theobroma Cacao Seed Butter, compliant with Regulation (EC) No 1223/2009 on cosmetic products. FDCM provides full INCI documentation and cosmetic-grade CoA on request. Cocoa butter is derived from tree nuts (cocoa beans, Theobroma cacao) and may require allergen declaration depending on the jurisdiction and finished product category.
Every shipment includes a Certificate of Analysis (CoA) covering FFA, moisture, peroxide value, saponification value, iodine value, melting point, colour and microbiological parameters. Technical Data Sheet (TDS), Safety Data Sheet (SDS) and INCI documentation are available on request at no additional charge.
For pharmaceutical-grade cocoa butter (Ph. Eur. suppository base): documentation available on request. Halal and Kosher certificates available for eligible batches on request — please specify at time of order.
